John Bellamy

Marine Electrical Designer/Technician

Re: Electrical Design Engineer

Hej!

I was recently made aware of the open position for a marine electrician at your production site in Västervik through Alejandro of Recrewit and am immensely interested.  This position both fits my background and interests, and as Windy exemplifies aspects of quality and craftsmanship that I believe in, I am very interested in submitting my candidature.

Life since coming to Sweden has always revolved around boating, and mostly…fixing them…to which I have an avid interest. Getting all components and systems working together makes the experience a joy to use.

I have installed and integrated NAV systems such as Raymarine & Garmin plotters (Empiribus) via NMEA2000, Bluetooth sound systems, rewiring, lighting, VHF radio, and other boat improvements requiring electrical, carpentry, and glasswork.

This, combined with an education in both Electrotechnology: industrial systems control for automation and electronic instrumentation, and a University degree in industrial design makes a good combination for this position. As a boat owner, I understand what is required and desired by an owner as well as the conditions placed on the watercraft.

Other skills and experience I can offer are Rapid prototyping, the ability to read construction and electrical plans as well as make corrections in CAD. I recently worked as an industrial electrician to Scania where I installed, fixed, and replaced a variety of technology for both AC & DC, single and 3 phase systems to manufacturing machinery and robots.

Having owned and operated an animation production company has also made me into a clear communicator/creator that enjoys working with and dealing with clients.

For these reasons, I believe it would make me the right person for the job at Windy. English being my mother tongue, I can also provide my efforts in Swedish, French, and working German.

I hope you will find my background and experience of interest enough to consider me for this position.

Sincerely,

John-Michael Bellamy

Your prospective Electrical Design Engineer.
